Privacy policy

Provincial Roads Management (ZDW) and the Operator of the MKA system put special emphasis to the observance of privacy of the MKA system Users. In compliance with Act of August 29, 1997 on protection of personal data (Journal of Laws of 1997 no. 133, item 883 as amendmended), according to the Terms and Conditions, ZDW and the Operator carefully select and apply the suitable technical and organizational means in order to guarantee the appropriate protection of processed data. In particular, data are protected against their disclosure to unauthorized persons, as well as against their processing in violation of the binding legal regulations. ZDW and the Operator exercise continuous control over the data processing process and limit the data access in the broadest possible extent, granting the right to process the data only if it is necessary for the correct operation of the MKA system.

After downloading the iMKA Application from the store, it is unauthorized and offers a limited functionality. Unauthorized Application does not process any personal data.

In order to use the full functionality of iMKA Application, you need to authorize it with a code. To get the authorization code, create an Account in the MKA system, which is legally univocal with concluding an agreement with ZDW for maintenance of the Account and with acceptance of the Terms and Conditions. Then get the authorization code and perform the authorization in iMKA Application.

The following User data are processed within an authorized iMKA Mobile Application:

  1. unique number of MKA system customer
  2. first and last name
  3. photo
  4. data related to rights to use a transport service

The administrator of the Users’ personal data is the Provincial Roads Management in Krakow, with its official seat at ul. Głowackiego 56, 30-085 Krakow – a budget unit of the Self-Government of Małopolskie Province, financed by the mentioned local government


Users’ personal data are processed on the basis of the consent of the Users themselves or on the basis of statutory rights allowing to process the data for purposes of performance and settlement of respective services.

Users’ personal data can be made available to entities authorized to receive it on the basis of the valid legal regulations.

If ZDW learns that a User is using a service available by means of the Application in a manner incompliant with the Terms and Conditions or the valid regulations, ZDW has the right to process the User’s personal data in scope necessary to determine the User’s responsibility, on condition that it records the fact of acquiring such messages and their contents as evidence. ZDW may, at its own discretion, notify the User about his/her incompliant actions and request an immediate ceasing thereof, and also about the exercising of the right described in the preceding sentence.

Users have the right to:

  1. correct, supplement, update or amend their personal data,
  2. request the deletion of their personal data,
  3. make an objection in scope of processing of their personal data.

For the above purposes, the Users can use the appropriate tabs available in the Account or send the appropriate request by a registered mail to ZDW address.
